The Brostorff Circle is an underground Neolithic temple discovered near the village of Schaara on the Maltese island of Gozo. The excavations were carried out by a joint team of archaeologists from the University of Malta, the Malta Museum Department and the University of Cambridge. As a result of the excavations, a layer of burials was discovered from the same period as the nearby temple of Ggantija, dating back to 3000-2400 BC. e. Among the most noteworthy discoveries are more than 200,000 human bones and prehistoric art dating back to the period of construction of the megalithic temples of Malta.
