Sveti Stefan

Sveti Stefan, Sveti Stefan
Montenegro, Sveti Stefan
Sveti Stefan is a resort located 5 kilometers southeast of Budva, on a small island, subsequently connected to the mainland by a man-made isthmus. Sveti Stefan was settled in the 15th century and for a long time was a simple fishing village. In the 1950s, the inhabitants were resettled and Sveti Stefan turned into a luxury hotel town. Holidays in Sveti Stefan were popular among many celebrities: at one time the guests of the resort were Bobby Fischer, Sophia Loren, Claudia Schiffer, Kirk Douglas and Sylvester Stallone.

It was no accident. The trip here was programmed from home. There is a bus from Budva bus station, about 8 kilometers away. The beauty of the island itself exceeded all expectations. Entrance to the island is prohibited. I read that the numbers in the high season are even played at auction (but not for ordinary mortals)) There are also some days when you can get in the middle with organized tour groups. But from the opposite shore the island also has a stunning view. When they were hungry, they had lunch in a restaurant on the open terrace.

Resting in May in Budva (Montenegro), we decided to go to see the island of St. Stephen, about which we heard a lot of good reviews. This island is located just 5 km from Budva. In the middle of the twentieth century, this island was turned into a hotel for VIPs. A night spent in that hotel will cost from 800 to 2000 euros. Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro and Sophia Loren rested here, but Arab sheikhs love it the most. The island is connected to the shore by a small isthmus on which the beach is located and it is impossible to get to the island for those who do not live in this hotel, which guarantees complete privacy for guests.

Montenegro is an amazing land - the unique color of the Adriatic, mountain peaks and the endless blue sky are mixed here. Here they do not close the doors of houses with bolts, just as they do not close the doors of the souls of local residents. Standing on the sea coast, you can feel how the salty wind brings the cries of seagulls from the sea, the sound of the waves and the amazing peace caused by the surrounding beauty. Montenegro is very interesting for tourists because here you can not only lie on the beach, bask in the sun and swim in the azure water, but also go on various excursions.

I recommend everyone to take a ride on Sveti Stefan - beautiful, quiet and calm. Rest in the city itself is designed only for couples, since in the evening there is nothing more to do than go to a restaurant and eat. From the beaches: - one to the left of the fortress is free - other beaches that go towards Budva are paid, as they are from hotels and cost 75 euros for a set of 2 sunbeds + umbrella Fortress - they are not allowed in - you can only have dinner in their restaurant for 50 euro - or rent a room and live there - hotel Aman.

The island of Sveti Stefan is the "visiting card" of Budva. It is famous for the fact that world movie stars and show business, as well as heads of state like to relax there. Currently, it is also an island-hotel of the VIP level. In just 50 years, the island has evolved from a simple fishing village into a fashionable resort. If you do not live in the apartments of the island, then alas, you will not be able to get to it, the security only allows residents of the hotel to pass through. It remains only to contemplate from the shore and admire the island from afar.
