One of the attractions where organized tours do not go. Although I myself learned about the fortress a couple of years ago. Of course, there was interest to see, and such an opportunity presented itself again due to bad weather). It is located 1 km from the Old Town above the beach of the same name, you can walk on foot, which we did. I read somewhere that you can climb the path from the beach, but when we were at the fortress, it was somehow scary to approach the edge of the cliff, so the path was not found. In general, as a lover of all kinds of ruins, it was interesting for me to wander there. The place will allow you to take great photos of the sea, the coast, and the color of the sea, mmm ...well, just a feast for the eyes.
But there are also disadvantages. On the one hand, it’s good that crowds of tourists don’t go there, but on the other hand, it’s bad, because no one takes care of the place, and it begins to overgrow. A path leads from the road to the fortress, but it is better to look under your feet, because snakes may well be found, although we did not meet them.
There is garbage, not mountains, but still. And one more thing alerted us, we found someone’s dwelling there in a niche, since our journey was coming to an end and we didn’t meet anyone).
