From the Casino in Monte Carlo, I headed along the Formula 1 race track to the rocky promontory, on which the Grimaldi Palace, the Oceanographic Museum, and the Exotic Gardens are located. The history of today's famous motor racing began in 1929, but competitions have been held here before. I knew the track and Russian cars - Tsarist Russia, not Soviet ones! More than a hundred years ago, shortly before the First World War, the Russian car Russo-Balt C24 / 30 took part in the Monte Carlo rally. The sports version of the car was called "Monaco".→
