Sanctuary of Almoravid Kubba
Almoravid Koubba, Kubba al-Baadiyin
Morocco, Marrakesh
"Almoravid Kubba" or "Kubba al-Baadiyin" is the oldest sacred complex at the entrance to the mosque. The construction of Almoravid Kubba dates back to the beginning of the 11th century, during the reign of the Almohad dynasty. The sanctuary is made in the traditional Moroccan style with an abundance of arches and elegant carvings crowning the dome of the building. At one time, the first drinking water fountain in the city was installed on the territory of the complex.
