Majorelle Garden
Majorelle Gardens, Jardin Majorelle
Morocco, Marrakesh
The Majorelle Garden was once owned by a French artist, Jacques Majorelle, who lived in Marroquesh in the early twentieth century. The artist managed to collect the rarest and most valuable plants in the garden. The luxurious garden with its lush flora, fountains and cozy pavilions, as well as the unusual blue house where the artist lived, are a wonderful example of garden and park art. Later, the garden was bought by the famous French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. Currently, Majorelle's former workshop houses a museum displaying some of his works on the nature and landscapes of Marroquesh.
