If you are heading to a city that is located on the river, be sure to include a walk along the embankment in your plan. Let it be a short 15-20 minute walk, but it is unlikely to disappoint you. Near the water, the city feels different. Each river has its own character, its own unique run of waves, air, landscape. I love to shoot the opposite shore. The picture is always different, with its own unique style. However, do not expect anything special from the Daugava embankment - a walking path, a lawn, a cable-stayed bridge in the distance .→
