The eastern pier was built between 1850 and 1861, under the patronage of the Russian Tsar Alexander II, and its length is 2240 meters. On the right, the pier is washed by the Daugava River, on the left, the bay. At the end of the pier there is a 7-meter lighthouse. The lights are 11.5 meters above sea level and the visibility of the lights is 4 nautical miles. This is an excellent place for walking, contemplation and creation.→
