One day, the Už upis district in Vilnius, which translates as "District", was declared a virtual microstate. The project was aimed at attracting tourists, since the area itself has long been abandoned and lived there mainly by the poor. Of course, this independence is formal, but tourists have since included this area in their list of local attractions when visiting Vilnius. The republic has: an anthem, a flag, a coat of arms, a territory, customs, a permanent population, elections, a government and even an army.→
