Resting in Egypt, we went on an excursion to Petra. It was the most memorable trip. We drove from Sharm el-Sheikh to Taba, and from there by ferry to Jordanian Aqaba. The ferry is very comfortable, so are the Jordanian buses, but the road from Sharm to Taba is very tiring, especially after a day of walking on the way back. From Aqaba to Petra, the road took about 3 hours with stops. The bus was left in the parking lot, above the entrance to Petra, and then began a hike of about 7 km in length in both directions. Moreover, when you enter Petra, you go a little to the bottom, and back up to the top, respectively. This is what the Bedouins use, who offer you a ride on a horse or camel. The path to Petra passes through the Siq Gorge, where the mountains shimmer with all shades of pink and red. There are comfortable benches along the way, you can sit down and rest at any time.
It's hard to believe that Petra was made by humans. Already very huge structures, carved into the mountain with ideal planes and vertical columns. I advise everyone to visit Petra. A very beautiful canyon along which you go to the city, the temple of El-Khazneh is incomparable. I do not advise you to go with children, it will be difficult for them. Don't forget about water too! In April it was cool - you need to take a windbreaker or sweater. Well, and sweets to local children who pestered at every turn.
