Gardens of the Biennale
Giardini della Biennale, Venice giardini
Italy, Venice
The Biennale Gardens is a park area in the historical part of Venice, where the Venice Biennale takes place, one of the most famous forums of world art, an international art exhibition held every two years with the participation of an international jury.
The gardens were created by Napoleon Bonaparte who drained the former marshy area to create a public park garden.
The gardens house 30 permanent pavilions, each dedicated to a different nationality and displaying national art during the biennale.
This place is also famous for the fact that many cats live in its vicinity, and there are several famous sculptures here, including the statue of Garibaldi at the entrance.
