Opera House La Fenice
Teatro La Fenice, The Phoenix
Italy, Venice
La Fenice is an opera house that opened in Venice on May 16, 1792 with the premiere of Paisiello's opera Agrigentine Games.
The name reflects the fact that the theater rose like a phoenix from the ashes twice - the first time after the fire of 1774 and the second after the court battles. During the First World War, the theater did not work. In 2003, after an 8-year restoration, the theater was reopened by Traviata.
