The Zattere promenade is located in the south of the city in the Dorsoduro quarter. It appeared at the beginning of the 16th century and today it has a length of almost 2 kilometers. It is home to many medieval palaces and churches, the most famous of which is the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Salute. The Zattere promenade offers a wonderful view of the island of Giudecca.
