Cafe Florian

Caffe Florian, Caffe Florian, Cafe
Italy, Venice
Cafe Florian, located in the center of Venice near St. Mark's Basilica, was opened by Floriano Francesconi in 1720. It was visited by Goethe, Byron, Casanova, Rousseau, Hemingway, Brodsky.

In the 19th century, the Cafe Florian served as a meeting place for Italian patriots - for example, in 1848, opponents of the Habsburgs gathered there. With the transition of the cafe to a new owner in 1858, it acquired its current form. The cafe is known for its very high prices and is cited as an example of the "experience economy".

I really like to visit such "iconic" places. And I absolutely do not care how much coffee costs there! If you feel the same way, then definitely visit this cafe. Interiors, music and waiters in white jackets! I'll tell you not to sit down shyly at the tables on the street, but to go inside the cafe. You will definitely like it. At the time of the visit, coffee cost 6 euros (espresso), dessert 11 euros, beer with olives 9 euros. At the next table sat the star of the American TV series The Bold and the Beautiful.
