The Church of the Madonna dell'Orto is located in the Cannaregio area on the square of the same name.
The church was built in the Gothic style, a distinctive feature is the onion dome of the temple. The facade is made of pink brick and decorated with rich carvings. The carved portal, made at the junction of the Gothic and Renaissance styles, is crowned with a statue of St. Christopher.
The name of the church is inseparably linked with Tintoretto. In the temple is the tomb of the great artist, who was a parishioner of this church. There are several paintings by the painter here, the most notable are two paintings: “The Adoration of the Golden Calf” and “The Last Judgment”.
