Villa del Casale is an ancient Roman villa built in the first quarter of the 4th century AD. e. and located about 5 km from the city of Piazza Armerina in Sicily.
The villa was the central manor of a large estate and is one of the most luxurious buildings of its kind. Known primarily for the beautifully preserved mosaics that adorn almost every room. These mosaics are one of the richest collections of ancient Roman art still in place. Villa del Casale is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Italy.
