The Grand Hotel in Rimini is a luxurious five-star hotel, famous all over the world for its great tenant, director Federico Fellini.
The hotel was designed by the South American architect Paolo Somazzi and was inaugurated in July 1908. In 1920, a serious fire destroyed two decorative domes that adorned the roof - subsequently it was decided not to restore them. Also, significant damage was caused to the building during the Second World War, but in the 1950s it was completely restored. In 1994, the "Grand Hotel" was declared a national monument of Italy, which is under the protection of the Department of Fine Arts.
Today, the Grand Hotel attracts the attention of tourists with its luxurious classical architecture. Its rooms are decorated with French and Venetian antiques from the 18th century. The wooden floors and Venetian candelabra have been restored with great care. All interior decoration of the hotel with its furniture, paintings, lighting fixtures recreates the atmosphere of the past.
