Trevi Fountain

Fontana di Trevi, Trevi Fountain
Italy, Rome
The Trevi Fountain is one of the most famous fountains in the world. It was built between 1732 and 1762 by the architect Nicola Salvi. The baroque fountain is located at the facade of the Palazzo Poli and occupies almost the entire area of Trevi. Its composition is dedicated to the marine theme: in the center is a sculpture of Neptune in a chariot drawn by seahorses, and on the sides are figures of tritons. Crystal clear water enters the Trevi Fountain from a spring located 13 kilometers from Rome. In the evening, thanks to soft lighting, the fountain acquires warm shades.

Every day, tourists throw thousands of coins into the Trevi Fountain, and all the money collected here goes to charity. Another tourist tradition is that young couples drink water from the "lover's tubes" located on the right side of the fountain in order to love each other all their lives. Swimming here, as in all fountains in Italy, is prohibited.

This is really just an amazing sight . . All the figures are simply amazing ...But there are these figures ...And I would also like to say about the state of this fountain ...It seems that it has only been turned on for a week ...Everything in perfect condition...This is a masterpiece that I simply recommend to see... We can help here too - there is nothing better than an organized tour...Write to us!

And I would recommend, if possible, to come and look at the fountain in the evening in the backlight. The same is very beautiful. I was in Rome several times, so once I was unlucky, the fountain was turned off, I think it was on Monday. So inquire about this.

Of all the many fountains in Italy, this one just blew my mind. Indeed, very often flashing in films, which cannot but attract attention. To me, it just seemed great. Beautiful sculptures and a lot of water, but just attached to a residential building. We, like most tourists, also threw coins. And if it goes to the maintenance of the fountain itself, then such beauty is not at all a pity. 10 points! Without hesitation!

........Trevi Fountain! Who doesn't know him. In so many films about Rome, he is present. Therefore, it is included in the place of constant pilgrimage for guests of Rome. They say that with coins collected from the bottom of the fountain, the costs of maintaining this fountain and other places of worship in Rome pay off. The constant crowds of tourists around him speak of his popularity. We approached him, descending from the presidential palace on the Quirinal hill. From there, by the way, beautiful views of Rome.
