The Angels of Mitoraj in Pisa, Mitoraj fallen angel

The sculpture "Fallen Angel" is the work of the famous Polish author Igor Mitoraj, located in the old part of the city on Piazza dei Miracoli. The monument is a bronze figure of a fallen angel, symbolizing the frailty of human life and the fine line between life and death. The sculpture of an angel is huge, like other works of the author, and is installed on the lawn opposite the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
