The construction of the Cathedral of St. Nicholas dates back to the 12th century. Its 83-meter bell tower is today one of the main symbols of the city. Inside, the temple is quite ascetic, but it evokes a sense of reverence and peace that is appropriate for such places. Saint Nicholas is considered the patron saint of the city of Merano, and he is also the patron saint of all travelers - so you definitely won’t pass by the Cathedral!
