In 2005, a certain Giuseppe D'Ambra, a seafarer and a great lover of succulents and cacti, who always returns from long voyages with bags full of seedlings and seeds of rare plants, makes his dream come true and gives it the name "Ravino Gardens". The mild climate and fertile soil of the island favorably influenced the survival, growth and reproduction of this exotic flora, which over the years has formed a unique botanical collection in terms of abundance, diversity and size.
The garden covers an area of 6,000 square meters and offers the opportunity to walk along a 500 m long hiking trail surrounded by exotic trees. Unique in Europe, the collection of succulents and cacti, the result of forty years of efforts by Giuseppe D'Ambra, is enriched with original "bonsai compositions", natural sculptures and decorative waterfalls.
