If you are not the first time in Florence, and the day is hot and sunny, then visiting the Boboli Gardens will bring pleasure. And if you came for the first time and want to see as many sights as possible and get to know the city, then leave their visit for the next time. The area of the park is large, but not very well maintained. There are many large trees, in the shade of which one can find salvation from the summer heat. In the remote corners of the park, you can be alone for hours if you are tired of the crowds of tourists in the city.

Take water with you if there are no shops there in summer. I counted four entrances to the park, maybe more. The territory is large, there are few visitors. I advise you to combine it with a trip to Palazzo Pitti. Separately, I note the porcelain museum - mostly dishes from the time of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Decided to go to the gardens after reading Brown's book "Inferno" where one of the action takes place in the gardens. The gardens were not particularly impressive, I have seen better park ensembles. In addition, the grottoes were almost closed due to restoration work. The price of visiting - 10 euros, is unreasonably high. For example, the price of visiting the world-class gallery of Palazzo Pitti cost 8 euros.

The Boboli Gardens are a masterpiece of Italian Renaissance garden art. To walk around the Boboli Gardens, stock up on comfortable shoes, a guidebook (or print it from the Internet), sandwiches, water and go for a walk and relax for the whole day. You still won’t get around the entire park in a day, but you’ll have time to see the main thing. We had a general ticket to visit the gardens, modern art gallery, silver museum, costume history museum, porcelain museum. Start with them. I will say that we ran through the gallery of modern art at a fast pace, our men refused to go to the history of the costume at all and stayed to rest in the park.
