Of course, the temple is the main object of the square. But there is much more interesting. Next to the temple is a large monument of Dante made of white marble. Once the Florentines drove him out of the city, and now glorify him. The fountain, designed by architect and artist Pierre Maria Baldi, appeared on the square in 1673. The new pool, lined with very beautiful polychrome marble, appeared in 1816, when another architect, Giuseppe Del Rosso, was commissioned to restore and modernize the fountain.→
