What is now called Michelangelo Square was founded in the 19th century. as a monument and a collection of works of the great classic. The famous David and sculptures from the Medici collection were to be exhibited here. For unknown reasons, the ambitious project was not realized, now there is only a bronze copy of David in the square, and in the house built for the Michelangelo Museum, there is a restaurant. However, the square remains popular, and its terrace offers a magnificent panoramic view of Florence and the Arno Valley.→
