Concert hall and conference center "Kharpa" was opened on May 13, 2011. The total area of the building is 28,000 square meters, the height is 43 meters. Thanks to the walls of glass panels of different colors in the form of honeycombs and the glass ceiling, the room is literally filled with light and air. Harpa is a laureate of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture. There are four concert halls of different capacities, named and stylized as natural phenomena.
Also in the concert center there are premises for seminars and conferences, boutiques, a flower salon, souvenir shops, a bookstore, a cafe and a restaurant Kolabrautin with a panoramic view of the historic center of Reykjavik.
