Reading previously on the Internet reviews about the beach in Colva, we expected a very rough ocean. But it turned out that the ocean was absolutely calm. But there were some small animals in it, such as sea bugs, which bit the more, the calmer the ocean was. So, one day, having come to swim before breakfast, we could only take a quick dip and were forced to retreat to the shore with the sensation of the whole body whipped by nettles. True, the ocean that morning was absolutely calm. Even small waves did not disturb the peace of the water surface. At about 10 am, the excitement usually rose a little, and by lunchtime, nasty animals almost did not bother while swimming.

Other marine animals (sharks, snakes, barracudas) did not bother us in the water. Although the guide warned that it was possible. Once in the ocean we met a slightly hippy grandfather who, having traveled half the world, decided that it was best for him to relax in Goa and has been coming here since 1970.
He was bored and really wanted to talk. He said that in 45 years of his trips to Goa, he never encountered sea animals on the beach attacking people while swimming.

But the sand on the shore was special. It was completely white and creaked underfoot as if it were starch. He creaked in the same way in the water in the ocean! And thanks to the purity (whiteness) of the sand, the water was very clear.

For 10 days of our holiday in Colva, we never went to the beach through its central exit. There were almost always masses of local people there. During the holidays, these masses “splashed” to the edge of the beach on which we sat. But in this case, the Boomerang shake served as a reliable shelter on the sunbeds of which we usually settled. And on the beach we were “protected” by a lifeguard who was sitting right in front of this neck.

The behavior of the locals on the beach surprised us at first.
They tried to take pictures with tourists (including grown men, like me). At the same time, as a rule, they did not ask permission, but simply walked and pressed the button from under the silence. At sea, groups of young men tried to approach European bathing women of any age, often engaging in self-gratification. Our glorious rescuer drove off groups of both the first and second kind.
