Sahakari Spice Plantation
Sahakari Space Farm
India, North Goa
Sahakari Plantation, also known as the Five Spice Plantation, covers an area of about 50 hectares. The plantations mainly grow cloves, cardamom, nutmeg, coriander, and ginger. In addition, exotic fruits grow here - guava, papaya, pineapples, sour and sweet limes, spices - pepper, basil, cinnamon. This is the only plantation in Goa and one of the few in India where vanilla grows, which is very expensive on the market, as it blooms only once every seven years, and the fruit ripens for about 9 months.
All products grown on the plantation are considered environmentally friendly, because pure natural water is used to irrigate the plants, and the manure of local cows is used to fertilize the soil. On the plantation, you can not only buy Indian spices and oils, but also get advice from a local doctor, an Ayurvedic specialist, who will recommend healing natural preparations for the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, rheumatism and other common chronic diseases.
