Temple complex of Galtaji

Monkey Temple, Galta Ji
India, Jaipur
Galtaji Temple, also called Monkey Temple, is located between the rocks 10 km from Jaipur. It is notable for its unusual architecture, sacred springs and a whole population of monkeys. The temple complex consists of the Main Temple and the Temple of the Sun, as well as a number of sacred pools, in which many pilgrims from all over India come here to dip. Galtaji is a real kingdom of monkeys who feel like real masters here. Near the temple, you can buy nuts and fruits to feed the monkeys, but you should not forget to be vigilant with these unpredictable creatures.

The Galta Temple or Monkey Temple is one of the interesting places in Jaipur. This is a whole temple complex located between two rocks with a sacred pool and a large family of nimble monkeys. On the territory of the temple, you need to be careful not to become victims of the theft of these tailed scammers, who do not hesitate to drag everything that lies badly. In addition, the monkeys here are somehow dirty and you don’t even want to feed them. Yes, and in the sacred pool you don’t want to swim - because the water there is cloudy green and of an incomprehensible composition.
