"Gate of India", located in the heart of Delhi, is a 42-meter arch on which the names of Indian soldiers who died during the First World War are carved. The author of the architectural project is the famous British architect Edwin Lutyens. Near the monument is the "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" and the Eternal Flame burns.

This monument is dedicated to the memory of 82 thousand Indian soldiers who died in the Anglo-Afghan wars and during the First World War. The names of many of them are carved on the monument. Near the arch there is a park, a beautiful alley leads to the monument. There are many Indians, tourists and police here. The place is not mandatory to visit, you can safely skip it.
