Akshardham Temple is located in another part of Delhi - across the Yamuna River. A big plus of the temple is that the entrance to it is free for a Hindu or a tourist, but this is also a minus of the complex - the flow of people here never dries up. The biggest sadness of this place is that it cannot be photographed in any way. Everything is taken away at the entrance, the metal detector beeps at the slightest suspicion of a prohibited item, inspection is like at an airport. The only overview photo can be taken about a 10-minute walk from the temple, the rest is destined to remain in memory forever.

Akshardham is a corner of peace and tranquility in the huge noisy and dirty anthill of New Delhi. When you get here, you find yourself as if in another world, and you can’t even believe that all this worldly fuss reigns outside the walls of the temple. Akshardham is a sacred place for Hindus, so strict visiting rules apply here: you must hand over all bags and items to the storage room at the entrance, you can only leave money and documents with you. Cameras and phones inside the temple are strictly prohibited, no shots can be taken.

Akshardham, the largest Hindu temple in the world, hides a veil of smog, which is usual for 25 million Delhi, the population is estimated - a huge number of illegal immigrants live in the Indian capital. The temple was included in the Guinness Book of Records: height 42 m, width 94, length 106. It is decorated with more than 20 thousand statues. The masterpiece of stone carving was created recently, you can see it, admire it, but not only you can’t take pictures up close, but it’s strictly forbidden to even enter the territory of the complex with a camera or video camera! There is no list of things forbidden to the visitor, there is a list of things allowed, it is short: shoe covers for legs (without shoes), a passport, money and a bank card.
