The Church of St. Catherine is a Franciscan church that was built in 1881 by the architect Guillemot. The church adjoins the Church of the Nativity from the north. Inside the temple, on the right side, in a niche, there is an altar of the Nativity, under which there is a sculpture of the Infant in a cradle, and above the altar is a statue of the Virgin. An organ is installed behind the central altar. Above it is a stained glass window depicting the Blessed Virgin with Christ and St. Joseph the Betrothed surrounded by saints and angels. The main entrance to the church is decorated with bronze doors and decorated with reliefs of saints.

World famous church.

The Church of St. Catherine is located next to the Church of the Nativity. This church is Catholic, and it belongs to the monks of the Franciscan order. And it is familiar to us from TV screens - it is here that the ceremony of the Catholic Mass is annually broadcast on all television channels of the world on the eve of the night of the Nativity of Christ from December 24 to 25.→
