Israel Museum at the Yitzhak Rabin Center
Yitzhak Rabin Center
Israel, Tel Aviv
This museum is the first and only cultural institution in the country that tells its visitors about the history of the formation and development of modern Israel. Here you can study anything you want, because in the vast halls of the museum there are expositions dedicated to one or another turning point in the fate of the state. In general, the museum fund has about 200 documentaries and 1500 photographs.
The museum has a non-standard design: it is a downward spiral with nine halls adjoining it. The expositions of each hall describe a whole layer of the creation and development of our state and place this time period in a global context, comparing what happened in Israel with the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the release of Star Wars, the advent of e-mail and many other events.
