Muslim Quarter
Israel, Jerusalem
The Muslim Quarter is the largest area of the Old City, located in its northeastern part. For more than thirteen centuries, mostly local Muslims have lived here, but there are Christian and Jewish settlements. Many architectural monuments are concentrated in the Muslim quarter - the Small Wailing Wall, the beautiful Al-Salamiya Madrasah, the Cotton Gate, as well as the Qasr-sit-Tunshuk palace built in the 14th century.
