One of the most popular museums in the capital of Ireland is located on the territory of the famous Guinness Brewery, founded in 1759, the largest producer of dark malt beer. The Guinness Museum opened in December 2000 in a seven-story building of the former fermentation shop. The home of Arthur Guinness, the founder of the brewery, is located nearby. The official name of the brewery is Saint James Gate Brewery.
The exposition of the museum offers to learn: about the components from which beer is brewed; about Sir Arthur Guinness; about the history of the brewery; about varieties and types of beer. Here you can appreciate the collection of advertising posters and beer bottles, learn how to use beer to prepare various dishes. There is a bar on the top floor - the cost of a pint of beer is included in the entrance ticket.
