Like it or not, this place is the center of Dublin, not only geometric, but also historical. Not only did the king of England in the 13th century oblige local foremen to build fortifications here to control and manage the agitated Irish crowd, but the Vikings, not yet having the results of geological research in their hands, built a settlement here. The castle still stands today. Completed, rebuilt, restored but worth it. Albeit not as huge and presentable as we expect from the average age-old building.→
