The Center for the Protection and Study of Sea Turtles was opened in 2006 on about. Serangan to protect against illegal trade and to conserve the population of several sea turtle species by extracting their eggs from popular beaches and incubating them in safe conditions. This center is at the same time a nursery, incubator, shelter and clinic for injured and netted sea turtles. It is a room with several pools, in which there are turtles sorted by age, size and species. The center also has a souvenir shop and a small cafe with drinks. Anyone can join the noble mission of saving these amazing marine animals by visiting this center or taking part in the release of baby turtles into Jimbaran Bay.
