The Hungarian State Opera House is the largest Hungarian opera house. Opened in 1884.

The neo-Renaissance theater building was built by the architect Miklós Ybl between 1875 and 1884, richly decorated with baroque ornaments, sculptures and paintings. It has a capacity of 1261 seats. The hall has the shape of a horseshoe and ranks 3rd in terms of acoustics in Europe after Milan's La Scala and the Paris Opera House.

Temple of music
The theater building is built in the Neo-Renaissance style and was built by architect Miklos Ible between 1875 and 1884, richly decorated with Baroque ornaments, sculptures and paintings. Especially interesting are the murals by Bertalan Sekei, Mora Tana and Karo Lotz along the stairs inside the building and in the auditorium. It has a capacity of one thousand two hundred and sixty-one seats. The hall is horseshoe-shaped and ranks 3rd in acoustics in Europe after Milan's La Scala and the Paris Opera.→

The pearl of Andrássy Avenue.
The theater was originally called the Royal Hungarian Opera House, and now it is perhaps the most eye-catching and most beautiful building on Andrá ssy Avenue. Groups with a Russian-speaking guide come here several times a week. The hall has the shape of a horseshoe and takes 3rd place in terms of acoustics in Europe! Unfortunately, we did not get to any of the performances. However, the opera house itself definitely deserves attention.→
