The Liberty Bridge is a bridge over the Danube River, has a length of 333 m, a width of 20 m and connects Buda and Pest. The Bridge on Vamkhaz Square was built in 1894-1896 according to the design of Janos Feketehazi. Subsequently, it was called the Customs Bridge, the building of which stood on the Pest embankment, then the bridge was renamed the Franz Josef Bridge, which opened it. After restoration, the bridge received its current name.
The tops of the four masts of the bridge are decorated with statues of turuls - birds from Hungarian mythology.
