On the territory of the archipelago there are many cultural and historical monuments: the Roman palace of the 3rd-2nd century AD. e., a Roman prison, a temple of Venus, a Byzantine castrum, the Basilica of St. Mary of the 5th-6th centuries, the church of St. Herman of the 15th century.
In 1978, a safari park was created in the northern part of the island of Great Briun, covering an area of 9 hectares. Another attraction of Great Brijun is one of the most ancient olive trees, whose age is estimated at 1300-1600 years. On the island there is a monument to the doctor Robert Koch, who eradicated malaria here.
On the uninhabited island of Maly Brijun is the fort Brioni Minor, built by Austria-Hungary at the end of the 19th century to protect the main naval base in Pula.
