The main entrance to the Archaeological Museum of Istria passes through the ancient gate, which served as the entrance to the ancient Roman city. The museum showcases a wide variety of archaeological finds from the prehistoric and medieval periods found in the region of Pula and Istria, with particular attention to the period from the 2nd to the 6th century.
The museum is divided according to the theme of the exhibits into three floors - basement, first and second. On the first floor exhibits of the Neolithic and Ancient Rome are exhibited, and on the second floor - exhibits of the Middle Ages.
