The Native Museum of Porec is located in an 18th-century baroque palace.
On the ground floor, you can see a collection of stone fragments with Roman scriptures and an archaeological collection of prehistoric pottery. On the second floor are the original baroque salons, overflowing with paintings and works of art. In addition, there is a special collection of portraits and household items belonging to the Karli family from the town of Kopar, whose last generation lived in Poreč. The exhibition also features sculptures from the early Middle Ages. In addition, the museum has a rich historical library and an interesting selection of documents.
