Island Lopud
Lopud Island
Croatia, Dubrovnik
Lopud is one of the Elaphite Islands, the second largest island in the archipelago. Located five kilometers northwest of the port of Dubrovnik, the area of the island is 4.38 sq. km, the length of the coastline is 14.63 km. In the western part of the island there is a settlement of the same name.
There is a park on the island, formerly a garden in a villa, in which tropical plants from all over the world have been growing since the 19th century: bamboo, cacti and others. Tourists from neighboring Dubrovnik often come to the island with day trips.
