Arnita village

The village of Arnita is located 53 km from the center of Rhodes town. This is a small typical Greek village, which lies in a quiet valley. At the entrance to the village there is a natural spring "Kato Vrisi". At the end of the village is the Orthodox Church of St. Nikonos, built in the 13th century.
Monastery of St. Philemonas - an example of post-Byzantine architecture, built on the site of the former temple of Apollo. It is located on a hill opposite the village. Also notable are the remains of St. Irene, which is an example of the style of an early Christian basilica.
