Araklovon Castle
Araklovon Castle
Greece, Peloponnese
Araklovon is an 8th-century Byzantine castle at the village of Minfi, in the Zacharo region, in the western Peloponnese. The small but very strong castle of Araklovon was built in a remote mountainous area at an altitude of 980 meters, in a strategically important place: it overlooked the only passage from Kyllini to Messenia and Arcadia.
