Bourtzi is a fort located on a small island in the bay of Nafplion. The Venetians called it - "Castelli"; During the Greek Revolution, it was called the “sea tower”. This fort was built by the Venetians after the departure of Mahmud Pasha in 1473. They equipped the fort with new guns and strengthened its defenses. After the opening of tourist organizations, the fort has become a popular tourist destination. Now there is a hotel and a restaurant.
