Cape Dratis is another "postcard" view of the northern part of Corfu. It is tempting to go there, see with your own eyes and swim on inaccessible beaches.
The cape is very close to the village of Sidari. But the last 200 meters (and for 4 * 4 somewhere around 500-700m) is a clay primer with a small amount of stones.
We were here the day after the rain and, I must say, this dirt road was not very good. There is no parking, but there are pockets where you can leave the car and continue on foot. There are two such pockets. On the way down (! ) there are several viewing platforms with the same views from postcards. Actually, that's all!
You can go down to the beaches, but they are not at the cape, but behind it. You can climb the upper rocks of the cape only if you agree in advance with Cape Drastis Thematic Park. Well, walk along the road in the thickets of bamboo (not romantic at all and you can’t see anything). Next, you run into a chain-link mesh (!
) like the Crimean fences and read some garbage, scratched on cardboard and boards, that you have to pay 3 euros to someone (phone) to get through. What does it have to do with some kind of hut made of boards and not a soul. From afar, we saw that there was a clearing with people on the hills, but something civilized was not visible. There is a car, a hammock on an olive tree, a fire on the ground. Typical picnic. We did not understand what kind of event it was, but we never got to the cape itself. The private area (Cape Drastis Thematic Park) is called. They write on the net that there are still no beaches down there, but you can ride a boat (and you can ride a boat everywhere in Corfu).
So it's up to you to decide whether it's worth going for such a "postcard" view. In principle, if you are near Sidari, then it is worth allocating half an hour. All views in my photos are easily accessible. We didn't go for the chain-link.
