The life of the Greeks is shown. Lots of really historic stuff. Well maintained beautiful area. Admission for children under 18 is free in most museums in Crete. Located at the end of Hersonissos when driving from Heraklion along the coast. There are guided tours in many languages via earpiece. Open until 14.00!

It was very lively, I wanted to feel everything, touch it, taste it. Life is very well represented here. I also liked the idea of organizing an open-air museum.

I love Crete for places like this. Here you seem to recognize something ancient, which does not concern you, but at the same time you are involved in this story against your will, and this brings pleasure. Not like in the museums familiar to our brother. Here everything is alive, not detached. Recommend.

Very nice, cozy place. In addition to the museum exhibits, which are very, very attractive and attract attention, you can have a delicious meal in the cafe on the territory and even taste traditional drinks for free. Very brightly spent time, every minute was filled with interest and pleasure. Excursions here can be taken in groups (including in Russian, which pleases) or take an audio guide.

Here, in principle, everything can be understood without a guide, everything is presented in great detail. But there is a cognitive dissonance - it seems that the location of the museum and the fact that it is in the open air makes it interactive, but many of the exhibits are behind glass, which usually means an ordinary museum. So somehow it didn't quite sink in. However, definitely worth a visit!

Perfect place! ! It was very interesting, listening to the audio tour (audio guide) to consider the way of life so carefully presented. Everything is very nice and sincere, they also prepare delicious unusual drinks that they offer to try. Entrance is inexpensive (relatively) - 5 euros + 1 euro - guide
