Chania Municipal Market (agora), a huge building with an area of .4000 square meters. m, was built in 1913 on the remains of the bastion of the Pyatta Forma, in the middle of the walls of the Venetian period. Until the end of the 19th century, the municipal market was an open-air meat, fish and vegetable shop, where villagers brought their products for sale. In 1908, the municipality decided to decorate the place by building the municipal market of Chania. The design was developed by local engineer K.→
