Spinalonga is located opposite the villages of Plaka and Elounda in eastern Crete. Spinalonga is a remnant of the land on which the city of Olous was located and which went under water after the earthquake.

Great excursion
The Mirabello Bay is simply incredibly beautiful, the water is crystal blue, even turquoise. I also liked the island itself, there is no unpleasant feeling that I heard about from some friends. Great option for spending time.→

Excursion worthwhile
Recomend for everybody. If the dark history of the island is not to your liking, look at this as a beautiful island with great views and photo opportunities. I liked the guide, the master of his craft and the special impressions of this place.→

An island with a sad history. The guides tell quite interesting, but we read some information on our own, before the trip. Divine views and unreal beauty. It seems that there is even a short series about this island and its history.→
