If you are on the Acropolis, then naturally you can visit this hill nearby. Much has been written about its history. But now the only advantage of this hill is a good view of the city and the Acropolis. The stones are so polished by the feet of tourists that it is very easy to fall and injure yourself. Be careful.

In front of the Acropolis with the Parthenon crowning it, a modest-looking rock has been preserved, the significance of the processes taking place on which exceeded the value of the Acropolis itself in the times of Ancient Greece (BC). The Areopagus, where the judges of the Supreme Court of Athens met - the Areopagites, who were chosen based on their nobility and wealth - was the main political authority in Athens and the judicial body for murder charges. Since the judges did not want to be under the same roof as those accused of murder, justice was held in the open.
